Job summary

Audacy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Corporate Finance team. This remote role involves assisting with quarterly and annual financial statements, asset and lease accounting, and monthly close processes.

You will collaborate with internal partners, liaise with external auditors, and ensure accuracy of accruals. A Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance and 3+ years’ experience, plus strong Excel skills, are required.

Qualifications

• US GAAP knowledge required.
• 3+ years in accounting or finance.
• Experience interfacing with internal/external customers.
• Experience in financial reporting close process.
• Proficient in Excel with analytical ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Support fixed assets, lease accounting, and accruals.
• Prepare monthly close journal entries.
• Complete monthly close journal entries.
• Complete monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
• Work with external auditors; provide documentation.
• Compile and evaluate accruals for accuracy.
• Research and correct account discrepancies and variances.
• Maintain communication with business partners and ensure SOX controls.

Overview

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Department: Corporate Finance

Reporting To: Accounting Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Remote

The anticipated salary range for individuals expressing interest in this position is $75,000.00/Yr. - $80,000.00/Yr.

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.

Responsibilities

What You'll Do:

• Assist in the preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Provide support in the areas of fixed assets, lease accounting, and general accurals.
• Prepare monthly close journal entries.
• Complete monthly close journal entries.
• Complete monthly reconciliations balance sheet accounts.
• Work with external auditors, provide support documentations and explanations.
• Compile, adjust and evaluate various accurals to ensure their accuracy.
• Research and correct account discrepancies and variances.
• Maintain ongoing communication with business partners.
• Properly execute controls to ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.

Required & Preferred:

• Experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics SL (Solomon) - General Ledger is preferred.
• Experience with Tagetik - Consolidation of financial reporting is preferred.
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Understanding and knowledge of US GAAP.
• 3 or more years of accounting or finance.
• Experience interfacing with internal/external customers.
• Experience in the financial reporting close process.
• Ability to multi-task and handle shifting priorities.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft Excel is a must).
• Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relations.
• Self-starter and strong work ethic.
• Key sklls/attributes: organization, attention to detail, problem-solving and accountabilty.
