CV Resources is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing healthcare real estate and senior living organization. This position will be responsible for full-cycle property and community accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, budgeting support, cash management, fixed assets, and resident accounting activities.

The ideal candidate will have senior living, healthcare real estate, or commercial property accounting experience and be comfortable working cross-functionally with operations, asset management, and accounting teams in a fast-paced environment.

Key Highlights:

• Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of senior living communities and real estate entities.
• Prepare and complete monthly financial reporting packages within established reporting deadlines.
• Perform bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and cash account reconciliations.
• Review and reconcile daily cash receipts, deposits, and resident management ledgers.
• Support accounts payable processes, invoice approvals, and vendor payment activities.
• Audit and maintain resident rent rolls, accounts receivable aging reports, and resident billing records.
• Investigate billing discrepancies and process resident refunds as needed.
• Prepare and record monthly accruals, including payroll-related accruals.
• Perform budget-to-actual variance analysis and assist with annual budgeting and business planning.
• Prepare debt compliance reporting and maintain compliance with lending requirements.
• Manage fixed asset accounting, including depreciation and amortization schedules.
• Prepare cash forecasts and cash flow reporting for assigned communities.
• Support accounting integration activities for new acquisitions, development projects, and community onboarding.
• Partner with operations and asset management teams to resolve accounting and financial reporting issues.
• Assist with documenting and improving accounting processes and procedures.
• Participate in ad hoc reporting, special projects, and process improvement initiatives.
• Train and mentor Staff Accountants and support team development.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5+ years of senior living, healthcare real estate, property accounting, or similar accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Experience with monthly close, account reconciliations, accruals, and financial statement preparation.
• Experience managing accounts receivable, resident billing, rent rolls, and collections reporting.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with operational and financial stakeholders.

Target Candidate:

A Senior Accountant with strong property accounting, healthcare real estate, or senior living accounting experience who can own financial reporting, reconciliations, resident accounting, budgeting support, and cash management responsibilities for a portfolio of locations. The ideal candidate will be comfortable partnering with operations teams, mentoring staff, and supporting process improvements while maintaining accurate and timely financial reporting.
