Bed Bath & Beyond is seeking an in-house Accountant to manage all accounting aspects for assigned departments, including budgeting and AP coding. You will ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial data and coordinate with department leaders.

The role requires accurate reconciliations, monthly forecasts, and collaboration on finance IT projects. You will support ad hoc requests and uphold policies and legal guidelines in a fast-paced environment.

• Maintaining and reconciling selected balance sheet accounts.
• Accurate, on-time journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Accurate monthly department outlooks/forecasts.
• Liaison between department executives and the accounting department.
• Supports and assists with finance related IT projects.
• Provides accounting support for adhoc requests and new business activities.
• Perform other duties as required and assigned by manager and upper management.
• Follow legal policies as directed.

Physical Requirements

This position requires you to sit, stand and perform general office functions. You may also be required to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
