Job summary

Professional Search Group is assisting a well-respected company in Costa Mesa, CA, to hire a Senior Accountant with 2+ years at the Senior level and 3+ years total accounting experience. This role emphasizes fast-paced environments, US GAAP compliance, month-end close, journal entries, GL reconciliations, and financial reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of overall accounting experience with 2+ years in senior accountant role.
• Experience with SAP is a plus but not required.
• Consumer goods/apparel/retail industry experience is a big plus.

Well respected company with strong and collaborative accounting team is hiring and has engaged PSG to help with the search. The company has been rapidly growing over the past 5+ years and is a leader in their industry! The ideal person would be someone who has 2+ years of experience at the Senior Accountant level with exposure to working in a fast paced environment.

Senior Accountant Job Duties:

• Month end close
• Heavy Journal entries during month end
• General Ledger management and reconciliations
• Financial Statement preparation
• Prepare financial reports
• Variance Analysis
• Heavy Excel work
• Research accounting standards and regulations to maintain compliance with US GAAP
• Assist with implementing internal controls and systems

Desired Skills & Experience:

Realistically we need someone who has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. Having used SAP software is a huge plus, but not required. 3+ years of overall accounting experience with 2+ years at the Senior Accountant level. Consumer Goods / Apparel industry / Retail experience a big plus.

Compensation:

$100,000 - $115,000 + bonus
