Job summary

Kings III is seeking a Senior Accountant in Coppell, TX to manage general ledger activities, assist in monthly close, and support audits and financial reporting across multiple entities.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years of accounting experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency with ERP systems such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or Oracle. Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required; MBA or CPA a plus.
  • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Experience with general ledger functions, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Treasury experience and multi-entity/multi-currency accounting is a plus.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial compliance requirements.
  • Experience in dynamic, high-paced environments such as private equity backed companies; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

  • Manage general ledger accounting functions including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Lead or assist in closing activities to ensure timely financial statements and schedules.
  • Collaborate with operations to monitor inventory accuracy, investigate variances, and support forecasting, purchasing, and audits.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations of bank accounts, intercompany balances, and key GL accounts.
  • Support internal financial reporting and variance analysis including cash flow across multiple entities.
  • Assist with audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation.
  • Prepare and file monthly sales tax and annual reports across multiple states for compliance.
  • Support Accounts Payable and Receivable processing to ensure invoicing, payments, and collections.
  • Contribute to process improvements and internal control implementation.

Job description

The Role: Senior Accountant

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial compliance requirements
  • Experience in dynamic, high paced environments such as private equity backed companies and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Strong work ethic, exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work overtime as needed
