Overview: This role plays a vital part in supporting key financial and accounting operations within the organization. The Senior Accountant will assist with core financial processes, including billing, account reconciliation, reporting, and cost analysis, while working closely with other departments in a fast-paced industrial setting.
Core Responsibilities:
- Create and manage customer invoicing activities
- Supervise and act as a backup for office tasks related to billing, payment collections, accounts receivable/payable, and issuing weekly payments
- Maintain and reconcile key ledger accounts
- Track and update the company's asset register and associated depreciation records
- Ensure the trial balance is accurate for generating periodic and year-end financial statements
- Produce reports on a regular and as-needed basis (weekly, monthly, annually)
- Set and review internal cost allocation models, including production and weight-based costing
- Examine and interpret cost of goods sold to ensure accuracy and operational insight
- Work with product managers to refine inventory costing practices and procedures
- Help manage and verify periodic inventory counts and analyze inventory valuation data
- Assist operations in assessing inventory reserves and calculating scrap-related costs
- Participate in special assignments and financial analyses as directed by leadership
- Be open to learning new areas and supporting broader business functions as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 8+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in manufacturing
