Talcott Financial Group is seeking a Director of Derivative Accounting to lead accounting, reporting, and analysis of the company’s derivative portfolio. You will ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, U.S.
STAT, and RSTAT, review disclosures, and present insights to senior management. Reporting to the Head of Investment Accounting & Reporting, you’ll partner with Finance, Treasury, Actuarial, Risk, and Investment teams, drive improvements, and manage regulatory filings for insurance and reinsurance

Reporting to the Head of Investment Accounting & Reporting Director, the Director of Derivative Accounting is responsible for leading the accounting, reporting, and analysis of the Company’s derivative portfolio. The role oversees compliance with U.S. GAAP, U.S. STAT, and RSTAT reporting requirements, with BSTAT knowledge considered a strong asset. In addition, the Director is responsible for the review of all investment‑related schedules, supporting exhibits, and note disclosures included in quarterly and annual U.S. statutory filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements. Experience with Clearwater Analytics and Oracle is preferred.

This range represents the minimum and maximum annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role at the time of posting. The actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range. The base pay is based on factors including but not limited to experience, competence, and demonstration of proficiencies essential for the role. The base pay is just one component of Talcott’s total annual compensation for employees. Other compensation may include annual bonuses, long-term incentives and recognition.
