Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-5 years of accounting/finance experience; manufacturing a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis).
• Experience with Power Query, ERP systems, or financial modeling is a plus.
• Highly organized with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules for monthly close.
• Assist with AP, AR, cash management, and bank reconciliations.
• Maintain the general ledger and support accurate financial reporting.
• Assist with inventory and manufacturing cost accounting, balance sheet reconciliations.
• Support monthly financial statements and management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Prepare profitability estimates for production builds and change orders.
• Analyze gross margins, manufacturing costs, and budget vs actual.
• Partner with Sales and Operations to improve profitability and support decisions.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
• Prepare monthly reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
• Perform ad hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives.

Charleston area manufacturing company seeking experienced Senior Accounting Analystto join their team! Working closely with Accounting, Sales, Operations, and executive leadership, you'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records while helping drive profitability analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making across multiple business segments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to both corporate accounting and FP&A within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly close process
• Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and bank reconciliations
• Maintain the general ledger and support accurate financial reporting
• Assist with inventory accounting, manufacturing cost accounting, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
