Job summary

BlueSky Resource Solutions is seeking a Senior Accountant in Texas for a multi-entity environment. The role focuses on managing month-end close, financial statements, and intercompany consolidations while maintaining the general ledger across entities.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, strong Excel and ERP experience, and a background in multi-entity firms. A hybrid schedule with three days in office and two remote is offered along with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA, MBA or masters in accounting a plus.
• Experience in multi-entity company essential.
• Advanced Excel skills (XLOOKUP, PivotTables) required.
• ERP experience with NetSuite, Sage Intacct or GP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in monthly financial statements and reports.
• Lead or support monthly, quarterly, and annual closes.
• Prepare and review journal entries and reconciliations.
• Maintain accuracy of the general ledger across entities.

Our growing client has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing accounting processes within a multi‑entity company.

Requirements:

• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reporting packages
• Lead or support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
• Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger across multiple entities
• Analyze balance sheet accounts and resolve variances
• Ensure timely completion of close checklists and supporting documentation
• Support variance analysis and financial commentary for leadership
• Account for acquisitions, discontinued operations, intercompany transactions, and consolidations
• Maintain schedules related to debt, interest calculations, and covenant reporting

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• CPA, MBA, masters in accounting a plus
• Public accounting or Big-4 / national firm background a plus
• Experience in multi‑entity company
• Advanced Excel skills (X lookup, Pivot Tables, nested formulas, etc.) required
• Experience using data cubes preferred
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, Great Plains, etc.
