Responsibilities

  • Prepare and record assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses from account data.
  • Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts; verify, post and reconcile.
  • Maintain general ledger; transfer accounts and prepare trial balance.
  • Summarize financial status via balance sheet, P&L and other statements.
  • Assist with monthly analysis and variance reporting of financials.
  • Complete external audits by providing GL information to auditors.
  • Submit monthly/quarterly financial expenditure reports to agencies.
  • Protect confidential information and support financial processes.

Summary

Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares and records assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, reconciling entries.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
  • Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors.
  • Assist with analyzing financial statements monthly and report on variances.
  • Maintains and submits Monthly and Quarterly Financial Expenditure Reports to Contracted Agencies.
  • Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

  • Ability to act and operate independently with minimal daily direction from manager to accomplish objectives
  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results.
Requirements

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least two years of non-profit health care organization experience.
  • At least two years of experience working with healthcare grants.
  • Experience utilizing accounting software. Acumatica strongly preferred.
