Job summary

Description

Summary: Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares and records assets, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
  • Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions, resolving discrepancies.
  • Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, reconciling entries.
  • Summarizes financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
  • Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts, providing information for auditors.
  • Assist with analyzing financial statements monthly and report on variances.
  • Maintains and submits Monthly and Quarterly Financial Expenditure Reports to Contracted Agencies.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
Qualifications

  • Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office applications

Requirements
Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • At least two years of non-profit health care organization experience.
  • At least two years of experience working with healthcare grants.
  • Experience utilizing accounting software. Acumatica strongly preferred.
