City of Boston is seeking a Senior Accountant in the Finance Division to manage and process daily cash receivables. The role involves handling near-term deposits, maintaining accurate records, and supporting the Cashiers' Unit under the supervision of a unit manager.
Ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of accounting experience, proficiency in Word/Excel/Access, and ability to extend hours as needed. Boston residency and pre-employment checks apply.
This is a provisional appointment. Reporting to the Supervisor of the Cashiers' Unit within the Finance Division, the Senior Accountant will be responsible for handling and processing significant amounts of cash on a daily basis.
