Key Responsibilities

  • Own monthly cost accounting close activities, including the inventory roll-forward, tie-out to the NetSuite general ledger, and COGS and margin analysis.

  • Prepare E&O reserve and warranty accrual calculations and related balance sheet reconciliations.

  • Help oversee internal and external inventory counts at warehouse locations as needed, supporting count reconciliations and follow-up on variances.

  • Help oversee system integrations between NetSuite and other tools (e.g., Salesforce, Ramp, 3PL/warehouse, and billing systems), assessing their impact on the financial statements and escalating data integrity issues.

  • Support the integration of legacy systems and processes from the recent merger, including chart of accounts harmonization and cross-system reconciliations.

  • Resolve 3-way match exceptions for hardware invoices and perform landed cost analysis.

  • Support fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and roll-forward schedules.

  • Maintain SOX segregation of duties between physical goods movement and financial valuation.

  • Design and test process improvements, including new reporting tools and dashboards, to increase efficiency and strengthen SOX-compliant internal controls.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting, inventory accounting, ERP systems analysis, or a related analytical role.

  • Strong understanding of inventory valuation, COGS, and standard costing concepts.

  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP), including familiarity with API-based integrations between the ERP and connected platforms (e.g., Salesforce, 3PL, and billing systems) and their impact on the financial statements.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas and data manipulation techniques, and in leveraging AI tools to drive efficiency (Claude and Gemini preferred).

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines; experience supporting M&A or system integrations is a plus.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, global environment.
