CFS is seeking a Senior Accountant for a fully remote role serving a nonprofit organization. You will manage month-end close, prepare GAAP-based financial statements, and ensure accurate general ledger reporting.

Required nonprofit accounting experience and a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. The position is remote within the Pacific Time Zone, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Responsabilités

• Own key components of the month-end and year-end close, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit standards.
• Manage general ledger activity and ensure accurate reporting of assets, liabilities, revenue and expenses.
• Support annual audits, compliance reporting, and other nonprofit financial requirements.
• Partner with leadership to improve accounting processes, controls, budgeting, and reporting.

Salary: $100,000–$110,000

A Portland-based nonprofit organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its fully remote accounting team. Responsibilities

• Own key components of the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards
• Manage general ledger activity and ensure accurate reporting of assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses
• Support annual audits, compliance reporting, and other nonprofit financial requirements
• Partner with leadership and internal teams to improve accounting processes, controls, budgeting, and financial reporting

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Prior nonprofit accounting experience is required
• Strong month-end close, financial reporting, and general ledger experience
• Solid understanding of US GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles
• Must be located within the Pacific Time Zone
