Balcones is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The Senior Accountant will ensure timely production of monthly financials and reporting, perform key reconciliations, and provide meaningful analysis into variances or trends that impact the performance of the business.

Balcones is looking for a full-time Senior Accountant to join our growing team. The Senior Accountant will ensure timely production of monthly financials and reporting, perform key reconciliations, and provide meaningful analysis into variances or trends that impact the performance of the business.

This is a hybrid role based in Austin or Dallas, TX.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to general ledger.
• Ensure timely completion of the monthly close process.
• Assist in preparing and analyzing financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP standards and accurately reflecting the company's financial position.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze and interpret financial data.
• Prepare account reconciliations monthly, and research and resolve outstanding items.
• Coordinate and prepare documentation for external audits, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Crosstrain with other accounting function teams such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
• Prepare workpapers for budgeting process.

• Strong knowledge of financial accounting principles and practices
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail & accuracy
• Must be comfortable working both independently and in a team environment.
