Talently in Augusta, GA is seeking an experienced accounting professional to own month-end close, prepare financial statements, and support a multi-entity environment under U.S. GAAP.

You will manage reconciliations, fixed assets, capital projects, and intangible assets, participate in external audits, and drive improvements in accounting processes and automation. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience, a Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance, advanced Excel, and ERP system experience.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong U.S. GAAP knowledge.
  • Experience with month-end close and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience participating in external financial statement audits.
  • Experience with fixed assets, capital projects, and/or intangible asset accounting.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform account reconciliations and variance analysis.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including complex formulas and financial models.
  • Experience working with an ERP or enterprise accounting system.

Responsibilities

  • Manage assigned month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entries, billing, and variance analysis.
  • Maintain ROU/lease schedules under ASC 842, intangible asset schedules, investment schedules, and marketable securities.
  • Track and account for capital expenditure projects, including capitalization and ongoing project activity.
  • Support financial statement preparation, including disclosures and footnotes, and apply U.S. GAAP to technical accounting matters.
  • Support the consolidation of multiple entities, including foreign entities and intercompany activity.
  • Manage assigned portions of the external financial statement audit, including audit schedules, work papers, and auditor requests.
  • Review work prepared by other accountants and provide guidance to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Support financial reporting, insurance renewals, and ongoing improvements to accounting processes and automation.
