Job summary

Libertana is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead accounting and financial reporting for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of the monthly close. The role involves preparing complex transactions, financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules while providing technical accounting guidance to the team.

You will partner with operations to resolve issues, support internal controls, audits, and process improvements in line with US GAAP and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
• 5+ years progressive accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel with strong analytical skills and ERP experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close for assigned entities.
• Review Staff Accountant journal entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare entity-wide reconciliation packages for management review.
• Record and provide reconciliation for AR/Revenue postings monthly.
• Perform trend analysis for entities and departments.
• Review Prepaid and Amortization schedules.
• Perform detailed payroll reviews and department coding analysis.
• Coordinate audit requests and supporting schedules.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Mentor and train Staff Accountants.
• Partner with billing, payroll, accounts payable and operations.
• Create ROU schedules and apply ASC 842 lease accounting where applicable.
• Recommend process improvements.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Senior Accountant is responsible for leading the accounting and financial reporting activities for assigned entities while ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the monthly close. This position prepares and reviews complex accounting transactions, financial statements, reconciliations, and supporting schedules, provides technical accounting guidance to the accounting team, and partners with operational departments to resolve accounting issues. The Senior Accountant plays a key role in maintaining strong internal controls, supporting audits, driving process improvements, and ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
