Job summary

The Performance Group is seeking an analytical accounting professional in Center Square, PA to support month-end and year-end close, prepare journal entries, and assist with audits. You will contribute to quarterly analyses and monthly reconciliations while handling confidential information with integrity.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting or finance, 2+ years of accounting experience, and strong Excel/Office skills.

Job description

In this role, the primary responsibilities will be to assist in the preparation and analysis of month-end and year-end closing, prepare journal entries, support quarterly and year-end audits, prepare quarterly analysis, as well as conduct monthly account reconciliations. Beyond the obvious need for strong/proven analytical skills, accounting acumen, and a flair for numbers, the ideal candidate will need to demonstrate an ability to thrive in a casual, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. Candidate must be able to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, ethics, professionalism, and integrity.

Although not all inclusive, some additional job responsibilities and skills will include:

• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Problem Solve and support accounting staff with customers and suppliers.
• Assist with annual audit and compliance activities.
• Review and analyze financial transactions and account reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner.
• Play a role with integration tasks related to acquisitions and mergers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and procedures.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, with a major in accounting or finance
• Two or more years of demonstrated accounting experience.
• Proficient in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, as well as various accounting related software
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong motivation, initiative, and time management skills, with the ability to meet strict deadlines.
