Job summary

Superior Essex Communications seeks a Senior Accountant to manage month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and reports in alignment with GAAP and IFRS. The role demands the ability to work independently and provide cross-functional support while coordinating with auditors.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting with 5+ years in a senior accounting role, preferably in manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting.
• 5+ years as Senior Accountant in a medium to large organization.
• Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
• GAAP and IFRS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
• Prepare and/or review monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
• Prepare P&L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for quarterly audits
• Responsible for Chart of Accounts maintenance in general ledger system
• Responsible for Supplier master maintenance
• Prepare Lease accounting schedules and entries in compliance with GAAP and IFRS
• Consolidation and management reporting as a holding company
• Analyze trends and identify unusual transactions requiring investigation
• Provide ad hoc financial analysis as requested
• Interact with internal and external auditors and assist with related deliverables
• Assist a maintenance activity for company accounting policies
• Works closely with Treasury and FP&A department
• Provide cross-functional support based on situational needs

• 5 or more years as Senior Accountant in a medium to large sized organization
