Job description

About the Role

We're an architecture and residential construction firm looking for a Senior Accountant to run day-to-day accounting for both businesses and work closely with the Principals and CFO. You'll handle AP and AR, month-end close, reconciliations, and job-cost and WIP reporting across projects in Deltek Ajera, JobTread, and QuickBooks Online. You'll also work with project managers, superintendents, and designers to keep job costing and billing accurate.

Part of the job is spotting manual work that could be done better and helping us fix it. You don't need automation experience. We'll provide the tools, training, and support to get you there.

What Makes This Role Different
  • Two businesses, one role: architectural design (Deltek Ajera) and residential construction (JobTread), with multiple revenue models and WIP methods.
  • Automation encouraged, not required on day one: help identify and improve 3–5 processes in your first year.
  • Continuous improvement: troubleshoot integrations, build dashboards, and document what you build.

Systems & Automation
  • Administer integrations across Ajera, JobTread, and QuickBooks Online
  • Help identify opportunities to automate manual processes (we'll teach you the tools—OCR, Apps Script, workflow automation)
  • Document processes, test cases, and SOPs for improvements you implement
Compliance & Business Partnership

  • Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and designers to ensure accurate job costing and billing
