Job summary

CFS in the North Denver metro is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a growing, collaborative team and own broad, hands-on accounting work in a fast-paced environment.

You will support monthly, quarterly, and annual close, prepare journal entries, reconcile ledgers, and oversee revenue recognition under ASC 606 and lease accounting under ASC 842, while helping strengthen internal controls and processes as the company grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Experience with ASC 606/ASC 842 and related journal entries.
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience including month-end close and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, reconciliations, and schedules
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation; maintain revenue recognition schedules ASC 606
• Support lease accounting under ASC 842, including ROU assets and lease liabilities
• Assist with payroll accruals and labor allocations
• Provide oversight and support across accounts payable and accounts receivable
• Prepare schedules and documentation for the annual audit
• Contribute to process improvements and internal controls

Senior Accountant - Key Responsibilities

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare journal entries, accruals, allocations, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger and balance sheet accounts
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparationMaintain revenue recognition schedules and record entries in accordance with ASC 606
• Support lease accounting under ASC 842, including right-of-use assets and lease liabilities
• Assist with payroll accruals and labor allocations
• Provide oversight and support across accounts payable and accounts receivable

Senior Accountant - Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Strong full-cycle accounting experience, including month-end close and financial statement preparation
• Experience with ASC 606 and ASC 842, including an understanding of the related journal entries
• Experience working in a smaller, growing organization strongly preferred
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Self-directed professional who takes ownership and identifies solutions
• Experience supporting external audits and improving accounting processes
• CPA or public accounting experience is a plus but not required
