Job summary

ATW is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the Accounting department. The role involves maintaining fixed assets, leases, and the general ledger, while producing accurate financial results.

The candidate will support month-end closes, reconciliations, and ad-hoc analyses in a dynamic environment. Ideal candidates hold a bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and have 5 years of hands-on accounting experience, with advanced Excel and ERP skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum 5 years hands-on accounting experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of General Ledger required.
  • Advanced MS Excel and ERP system proficiency required.
  • Experience with manufacturing environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain fixed assets using Sage software.
  • Maintain operating and finance leases using Lease Accelerator.
  • Research and make adjustments to maintain an accurate inventory subledger.
  • Assist with back-office support of annual physical inventory counts.
  • Assist in the month-end closing process.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reconciliations.
  • Review and research variances in financial data and make correcting entries.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, and others professionally.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial/quantitative analysis for business units and executives.

Provide information, primarily financial in nature, about all Company activities that will assist management, its shareholders and other users in making educated economic decisions about the Company’s future. Candidate will be a member of the Accounting department and will work alongside the rest of the team to create accurate and timely results. Experience / Education / Training
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5 years of hands-on accounting experience
  • In depth working knowledge of General Ledger
  • Mfg. experience a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and ERP System Functionality
  • Ability to be adaptive to frequent changes in priorities, organization and strategy; flexible to meet critical deadlines with short lead times
  • A proactive, independent thinker who can figure things out with limited direction
  • Effective oral and written communication skills with a strong ability to efficiently communicate financial results to both financially and non-financially oriented persons
  • A leader that can work with a team and quickly establish themselves as a competent individual who is on the upper trajectory to management
