Mayo Clinic is seeking a representative for Contracting and Payer Relations. This remote position seeks a candidate with strong organizational and communication skills, responsible for managing client relationships and satisfaction in the healthcare sector. Applicants should have relevant experience and a desired degree in the applicable fields.
Responsible for serving as the primary representative and liaison for select key Contracting and Payer Relations corporate clients of Mayo Clinic, developing and maintaining favorable relationships that meet the strategic objectives of both our client and our department. This position is responsible for developing annual client renewal and retention strategies, cross-selling and up-selling opportunities, and achieving long-term key client satisfaction and increasing relationship yield/growth. Must be familiar with a variety of health care, health insurance, and health promotion concepts and trends. Must be able to represent Mayo Clinic and an array of Mayo Clinic Contracting and Payer Relations products and services focused on Mayo Clinic’s Complex Care Program as well as other Mayo Clinic programs and tools. Must be able to work with complex large accounts and all levels of key decision-makers both externally and internally to meet client and department needs. Must be able to effectively manage time and priorities across a growing stable of select key clients both regional and national including health insurance companies, third party administrators, employers, member organizations, brokers and agents and other health benefit consultants.
*This position is a 100% remote work. Individual may live anywhere in the US.

Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Management, Healthcare, Human Resources or Benefits preferred; plus eight years’ experience in healthcare business environment, corporate account management, client service, or sales within the health care, health promotion, or health insurance industry preferred. Or a Master’s degree preferred, preferably in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Management, Healthcare, Human Resources or Benefits preferred; plus four years’ experience in healthcare business environment, corporate account management, client service, or sales within the health care, health promotion, or health insurance industry preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills. Excellent human relations skills to interact effectively with high level contacts within and outside of the organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively facilitate meetings, deliver presentations, craft proposals, and communicate clearly and succinctly. Tact and sensitivity to handle challenging issues with high revenue clients with diplomacy and consistency.
