We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Account Manager in the Flavors division. The Sr. Account Manager will be responsible for specific category sales and territory growth within the Flavor Division. This individual will define strategy, nurture relationships, and further develop the Takasago USA flavors portfolio in meeting expectations for the sustainable and profitable growth of the business.

Essential Job Functions Include

  • Responsible for achieving profitable sales targets through new business growth and maintenance of existing portfolio.
  • Further develop and support the management of a robust project pipeline.
  • Develop, maintain, and present sales budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team of internal partners to set strategy, develop proactive concept demos and innovation activities, and organize working sessions.
  • Responsibilities for customer-facing communications and presentations, as well as conveying customer needs to all internal partners.
  • Negotiate pricing and customer contracts.
  • Utilize highly developed communication and interpersonal skills to advance the Takasago brand and gain access to project briefs.
  • Ability to motivate internal stakeholders and provide clear goals and objectives contributing to sales growth.
  • Strong knowledge of the customer’s business and their product development cycle.
  • Utilize and navigate internal systems related to project management, sample requests, pricing, forecasting, etc.
  • Participation in various conventions and industry related events.
  • Travel as needed and attending business related social events are necessary.
  • Other requirements as deemed necessary by the Vice President.

Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred, i.e. Business, Marketing, Food Science

Experience

7+ years of account management experience in Flavors or the Food ingredient space.

The equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.

Competencies And Technical Skills

Knowledge in the use of various computer software especially Microsoft office suite. Must have knowledge of SAP and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must also have strong math skills.
