Job Title: Senior Sales Account Executive - Oil and Gas
Location: Houston, TX, USA
Employment Type: FTE
Work Schedule: Remote - regular travel to Houston required.
Salary: $130,000 to $150,000 annually, $300,000 OTE
Role Purpose:
We are seeking a results-driven and dynamic Senior Sales Account Executive to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales campaigns within the upstream oil and gas technology space. Your primary focus will be engaging with existing customers and targeted prospects, building strong relationships, and executing strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactive Sales Engagement: Lead sales campaigns targeting existing customers and new prospects within the upstream oil and gas sector.
- Industry Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry, including market trends and competitive intelligence.
- Sales Strategy: Develop and implement a strategic plan to meet targets for software, services, and managed solutions.
- Pipeline Management: Update the sales forecast and maintain accurate records in CRM on a daily basis.
- Achieve Sales Quotas: Consistently meet or exceed quarterly and annual revenue goals.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments (Finance, Operations, Legal) to align on business objectives and close deals.
- Account Management: Maintain and expand relationships with key stakeholders and decision influencers within client organizations.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and contractual terms in line with company policies and procedures.
- Third-Party Engagement: Identify and collaborate with third-party partners to enhance strategic alignment and business outcomes.
- Reporting: Provide regular updates to sales and executive management on account status, sales forecasts, and progress against targets.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business software sales or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in closing complex, multi-influencer, IT-related and/or oil & gas technology sales.
- Strong knowledge of the upstream oil and gas industry.
- Proven experience in new business development and managing long-term account plans.
- Comfortable engaging with senior management, demonstrating the ability to sell business value and process improvement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and CRM tools for account management.
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
- A positive attitude, strong organizational skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
