Liqteq is a Houston-headquartered AI company. We deploy private, governed AI inside our clients’ own cloud and on-premise environments, and we build the custom software, data platforms, and AI video analytics that sit around it. Our engineering and delivery team works out of UAE, Philippines, Pakistan our clients are mid-market and enterprise companies in healthcare, financial services, private equity, and industrial operations.
The Mandate
Liqteq is a ~$2M revenue business. Our goal is $5M. This role is the engine of that growth in the US market. You will win new logos, grow the accounts we already serve, and turn a founder-led sales motion into one that closes without the CEO in every room.
You are a hunter who knows how to farm. Roughly 70% of your opportunities will come from leads Liqteq generates (inbound, outbound, partners, referrals, events we run). The other 30% you will originate yourself through your Houston and Texas network, industry events, and LinkedIn. Your job is to convert both at a high rate and to make every client we sign worth more in year two than in year one.
What You Will Own
1. New Business (Hunting)
- Work every company-generated lead to a clear outcome: qualify, meet, propose, close, or disqualify fast.
- Originate your own pipeline (target: 30% of your total) through your network, events, LinkedIn, and referrals.
- Run the full cycle: discovery, solution framing with our delivery team, proposal, pricing, negotiation, and close.
- Sell to business owners and C-level buyers on business outcomes, not technology features.
2. Account Growth and Customer Success (Farming)
- Own the commercial relationship with an assigned book of existing clients.
- Run quarterly business reviews with key accounts: what value we delivered, what is next, where we can help further.
- Turn pilots into full deployments, and deployments into ongoing support and managed AI retainers.
- Spot risk early. Know before the client says it if an account is unhappy, and fix it with Delivery.
- Ask every happy client for a referral and a reference.
3. Houston Market Presence
- Be Liqteq’s face in Houston: client visits, executive meetings, industry events, and founder/CEO communities.
- Build relationships with partners who can send us deals (cloud partners, MSPs, advisors, consultancies).
4. Pipeline Discipline
- Keep our CRM (GoHighLevel) accurate and current: every deal, stage, next step, and close date.
- Deliver a reliable forecast. No surprises at month-end.
- Hand closed deals to Delivery with clear scope, success criteria, and client expectations in writing.

What good looks like
Days 1–30
Learn our offers, pricing, and case studies. Meet every account in your book. Take over all open company-generated leads. Map your own network into a target list.
Days 31–60
Run discovery and proposals independently. First QBRs complete. First expansion opportunity in proposal. Self-sourced pipeline building.

What You Bring
Must have
- 5+ years in B2B sales selling IT services, software, cloud, data, or AI to mid-market and enterprise buyers.
- A track record of closing six-figure deals, with numbers you can walk us through.
- Real account management or customer success experience: you have grown, renewed, and saved accounts, not just signed them.
- Consultative selling to owners and C-suite executives. Comfortable with long, multi-stakeholder cycles.
- Based in Houston, with an active local network and willingness to travel across Texas.
- Disciplined in a CRM. You forecast accurately.
- Relationships in healthcare, financial services, private equity, energy, or industrial companies in Texas.
- Experience selling AWS or Azure-based solutions, AI, or work into regulated industries.
- Experience at a growing services firm where you helped build the sales motion, not just follow it.
Who Thrives Here
Someone who would rather own a number than be handed a territory. You are comfortable being the first senior seller in a growing office, you prefer clear targets over vague expectations, and you get as much satisfaction from a client renewing and expanding as from signing them the first time.
Compensation
- Competitive base salary plus uncapped commission on new and expansion revenue. Full details shared during the interview process.
