The Life Sciences Account Executive role is responsible for driving net new sales and revenue from prospective and existing customer accounts within the assigned vertical. Your role will sell solutions through prospecting, networking, and executing marketing initiatives and account plans to increase Iron Mountain’s footprint within assigned accounts, resulting in revenue growth and quota attainment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess prospective and assigned customer’s current and potential needs, determining appropriate Iron Mountain products and solutions. Develop and implement strategies and business plans through understanding the client’s business model, planning, and decision-making channels, highlighting IRM’s strengths, competitive pricing, customer satisfaction, and advantages within each account.
  • Build customer relationships through strategic conversations to understand organizational objectives and goals. Influence a wide range of stakeholders and act as an industry expert. Partner with key decision-makers to structure business strategies, ensure frequent communication, and educate customers on industry trends.
  • Continuously prospect to develop new clients, expand existing relationships, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline. Manage activities like responses to RFPs, tracking in SFDC, forecasting, and competitive research.
  • Represent IRM at industry events to increase awareness, stay current on market trends, and deepen industry knowledge. Maintain a deep understanding of customer’s business trends and market conditions.
  • Lead negotiations to finalize sales, ensuring timely and profitable outcomes. Identify and close new opportunities, support pricing and proposal processes, and collaborate with other departments as needed.
Key Skills, Requirements, and Competencies
  • 4+ years selling to the Enterprise Life Sciences vertical.
  • Strong background in strategic account management, solution selling, and understanding of Life Science business units.
  • Proven ability to translate customer needs into solutions, create value propositions, and negotiate effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, planning, analytical skills, and business acumen.
  • Ability to influence at all levels, including C-level executives.
  • Develop and maintain senior management relationships within client organizations.
  • Strong Power Messaging and Challenger Selling skills.
  • Ability to develop demand by addressing specific market challenges and key buying influences.
  • Proficient in negotiation, questioning techniques, and account management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Reasonably expected salary range: $104,800.00 - $139,700.00 + commissions.
