Job description

CIMcloud is a rapidly growing and emerging SaaS company that offers a B2B-first ecommerce platform (with native ERP integration) to small-to-mid-sized product-centric companies (manufacturers and distributors). We are looking for a proven SaaS closer that kicks ass at running full-cycle, complex new logo deals from the first qualified conversation through signature. This is a senior, quota-carrying seat on the CIMcloud sales team that owns our largest and most competitive new logo opportunities, and as we add sellers, it is the seat that grows into leading them.

Overview

CIMcloud is a rapidly growing and emerging SaaS company that offers a B2B-first ecommerce platform (with native ERP integration) to small-to-mid-sized product-centric companies (manufacturers and distributors). We are looking for a proven SaaS closer that kicks ass at running full-cycle, complex new logo deals from the first qualified conversation through signature. This is a senior, quota-carrying seat on the CIMcloud sales team that owns our largest and most competitive new logo opportunities, and as we add sellers, it is the seat that grows into leading them.

Our Vision & The Reason You Should Apply

We’ve always had a killer product with lots of happy customers. We put our foot on gas (a while ago) and landed on the Inc 5000 list of fastest growing private companies for 7 consecutive years. We were also driving the business off the cliff, because we couldn’t scale with demand and we couldn’t finance the growth.

We made a decision about 7 years ago to cut our target market by 80% and clean up the business and product. We implemented Traction / EOS; we heavily invested in cleaning up and documenting our product/platform and native ERP integration; and we created the 3PS Framework (a B2B-Ecommerce Playbook) to provide our customers with a path to B2B-first ecommerce success. It was painful, but we successfully transformed our SaaS platform from an expensive and complex-to-implement “consulting-ware model” to a (mostly) clean, documented, self-service SaaS model. We maintained our top line revenue (through lots of grit) while growing our recurring revenue from 29% (5 years ago) to 80% (now) of our total revenue. We turned a break-even, clunky business into a strong, cash-flow positive stream-lined SaaS company. We did all of this while selling into a shrinking “headwind” target market (the 20% target market we kept was customers using a legacy, on-premise ERP system that is/was getting picked off by modern / growing ERP platforms).

We’re not perfect (not even close), but we are on a mission. We are emerging from that cleanup phase with a vengeance. Our goal is to dominate the B2B-first, ERP-integrated Ecommerce market in North America, and we believe we can. We expanded into a “tailwind” ERP market (Acumatica) and are adding additional “tailwind” ERP markets (Netsuite and Microsoft Dynamics). These moves have massively expanded our TAM. We need a proven closer that can win the largest and most competitive deals in that TAM by 1) continuing to harvest our classic target market (Sage ERP users), 2) conquering our new markets (Acumatica, Netsuite, Infor, SAP, Epicor, and Microsoft Dynamics ERP users), and 3) scorching the ground behind us so our competitors are feeding off of the scraps.

Reasons You Should NOT Apply

If any of these apply, please do not apply for this position.

  • You haven’t carried and consistently attained an individual quota in a full-cycle B2B SaaS closing role
  • You don’t have a proven track record winning competitive and replatforming evaluations, including displacing incumbent platforms
  • You don’t have experience selling to SMB/Lower Mid-market customers like ours (manufacturers and distributors)
  • You expect pipeline to arrive fully formed and aren’t willing to self-source a meaningful share of your own opportunities
  • You can’t hold your own with technical buyers (operations, IT, finance, and ownership) on ERP integration
  • You don’t grade yourself against proven SaaS sales metrics (New Logo ARR, win rate, forecast accuracy)
  • You’re looking for a job where you can hide in remote work and deliver mediocrity
  • You forecast optimistically and call risk at quarter-end instead of early
  • You think closing is an art, not a science, and that a documented, repeatable sales process isn’t needed if you’re an A-player
  • You win deals by discounting instead of with evidence and a documented business case
  • You’re not willing to make the sellers around you better through call reviews and joint deal work
  • You don't consistently demonstrate CIMcloud’s 5 core values: Grit, Team Player, Accountable, Win-Win, and Student
Key Responsibilities

If you are looking for more “traditional” job description details, here it is. CIMcloud is ideally looking for a Senior Account Executive that meets these criteria.

Full-Cycle Selling on Complex Deals
  • Own the full sales cycle on the largest and most competitive new logo opportunities, from the first qualified conversation through signature, including discovery, needs analysis, software demonstrations, proposal delivery, and final negotiation.
  • Run multi-threaded evaluations across operations, IT, finance, and ownership, and build a documented business case for change.
  • Run demonstrations that connect CIMcloud capability to the prospect’s real order-entry, pricing, catalog, and ERP data requirements.
  • Lead commercial negotiation within approved guardrails, and displace incumbent platforms with evidence rather than discounting.
Self-Sourced Pipeline
  • Generate an agreed share of personal pipeline through direct outbound, referrals, and existing relationships.
  • Build and work a named target account list in the segments where CIMcloud wins most often.
  • Accept qualified opportunities and partner‑booked meetings, and return disposition feedback promptly.
Partner Co‑Selling
  • Co‑sell partner‑sourced opportunities alongside Channel Development Managers, with clear ownership of next steps.
  • Build direct credibility with ERP reseller partners so they bring opportunities to you by name.
Forecast, CRM, and Handoff Discipline
  • Use the CRM to provide current visibility into stage progression, next calls booked, and close dates.
  • Forecast honestly, including calling risk early rather than at quarter end.
  • Transfer complete scope, timeline, and expectation context to Services Delivery and Customer Success at close.
  • Set expectations during the sale that Services Delivery can actually meet.
Developing the Sellers Behind You
  • Coach Account Executives and Business Development Representatives by example, through call reviews and joint deal work.
  • Contribute to win/loss review with a candid assessment of why deals were won or lost.
  • Report recurring objections, competitive encounters, and messaging gaps to Product Marketing.
  • Build toward leading a sales team as the organization adds sellers.
Success Metrics
  • Attain monthly, quarterly, and annual New Logo Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) targets, at a quota above the Account Executive level.
  • Self‑source an agreed share of personal pipeline.
  • Win rate on competitive and replatforming evaluations.
  • Forecast accuracy inside the agreed variance, with risk called early.
  • Respond to handed-off qualified opportunities inside the agreed service‑level agreement.
Qualifications & Experience
  • 5+ years of full-cycle B2B SaaS closing experience, with a consistent record of quota attainment.
  • Proven ability to carry and attain an individual number without pipeline generated for you.
  • Experience in competitive and replatforming evaluations, including displacing incumbents.
  • Evidence of making other sellers better, whether or not you have formally managed anyone.
  • Enough technical fluency to hold ERP‑integration conversations credibly with technical buyers.
  • Proficiency in using CRM for pipeline management, forecasting, and activity tracking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, with the confidence to engage owners and executives.
  • Highest levels of personal integrity in all internal and external interactions.
  • Coachable and eager to receive feedback, with a commitment to ongoing skill development.
  • Bachelor’s degree from a four‑year college.
Job Location

We are a remote company. While you can work from anywhere in the US, our strong preference is candidates in SC and NC. We will prioritize candidates in both states before considering candidates in other states.

Travel

This job requires occasional travel in the US (and very rarely CAN). One 2-3 day trip per quarter (for planning meetings or trade shows) is typical.

Compensation

This is a 50/50 role with on-target earnings of $145,000 to $205,000 — approximately half base salary, half performance-based commission tied to New Logo ARR against target. We offer competitive rates, employer-assisted medical, dental, and vision benefits, 401(k) with employer matching, and PTO.

Quota is set at four to five times OTE, the standard range for SaaS roles at this deal size. Commission pays quarterly on a curve that accelerates between 70 and 100 percent of target. The OTE above is what the plan pays at 100 percent attainment — not a ceiling, and not a number we backed into from a job board.

First-year average contract value generally runs $25,000 to $50,000, split between a monthly subscription and a fixed‑price implementation. It’s a considered sale with a real technical evaluation behind it. Not transactional, not enterprise.
