Responsibilities

• Support planning, development, and execution of public relations, communications, public affairs, marketing, and outreach initiatives.
• Support development and execution of communications and public affairs strategies, messaging, outreach plans, and campaigns.
• Manage assigned workstreams across multiple projects.
• Coordinate tasks, track timelines and deliverables, and ensure work meets quality standards and client expectations.
• Develop and implement social media campaigns, including content development, editorial calendars, and digital content.
• Draft internal and external communications and collateral such as fact sheets, presentations, news releases, eblasts, and flyers.
• Develop media pitches and support media relations efforts.
• Support planning and execution of client events and community outreach activities.
• Monitor client and project issues and support crisis or emergency communication strategies.
• Support business development through proposals, research, presentations, and networking events.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and stay current on communications trends.

• Support planning, development, and execution of public relations, communications, public affairs, marketing, and outreach initiatives
• Support development and execution of communications and public affairs strategies, messaging, outreach plans, and campaigns
• Manage assigned workstreams across multiple projects
• Coordinate tasks, track timelines and deliverables, and ensure work meets quality standards and client expectations

• Develop media pitches and support media relations efforts

• Support business development through proposals, research, presentations, and networking, industry, and community events
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members
• Stay informed on communications trends, technology, media, and public relations, marketing, and strategic communications best practices
• Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Public Relations, Political Science, Marketing, Journalism, Public Administration or similar preferred
• 3+ years' experience in public relations, public affairs or public outreach fields
• Strong writing skills
• Research skills
• Project management skills
• Employees who are fluent in Spanish, or other languages as needed, may be expected to provide in-house translation and interpretation services as part of their role
• Must be located within Seattle, WA
• Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as required
• Ability to travel up to 10-15% of the time
