Event Mechanics Co.is seeking an experienced, highly motivatedSenior Account Executiveto help lead our sales efforts, grow key client and industry relationships, and drive new business throughout Dallas–Fort Worth and beyond.
This is a senior-level, revenue-producing position for an established hospitality and events professional who brings both aproven record of sales success and an existing professional networkwithin the meetings, events, hotel, hospitality and/or destination management industries.
The ideal candidate is more than a successful salesperson. We are looking for arelationship builder, strategic thinker, sales leader and trusted client advisorwho can identify opportunities, convert relationships into business, mentor team members, and help shape the continued growth of Event Mechanics Co.
This individual will take a leadership role within our sales department while remaining personally accountable for developing and closing new business, expanding existing accounts, and achieving individual and company revenue and profitability goals.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 5 years of progressive sales experiencewithin the events, hospitality, hotel, destination management, meetings or related industry.
- Minimum 2 years of leadership or managerial experience, including coaching, mentoring or managing sales and/or account management professionals.
- Demonstrated history ofmeeting or exceeding individual sales and revenue goals.
- An established professional network within theDallas–Fort Worth hospitality, hotel, corporate meeting and event community.
- Proven ability to generate new business independently through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry involvement and strategic partnerships.
- Experience managing and growing established client and partner relationships.
- Strong understanding of the corporate meetings and events sales cycle, including lead qualification, discovery, proposal development, presentations, negotiation and contracting.
- Experience selling complex, customized event solutions rather than transactional products or services.
- Destination Management Company experience is strongly preferred.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Help lead the development and execution of the company’s sales strategy while consistently achieving or exceeding individual, team and company sales goals.
- Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities across corporate meetings, conferences, incentive programs, special events and destination services.
- Actively prospect for new business and identify untapped markets, accounts and revenue opportunities.
- Leverage an existing professional network to introduce new client, hotel, venue and industry relationships while continually developing relationships beyond that network.
- Lead sales strategy for significant RFPs, key accounts and high-value opportunities.
- Maintain accountability for pipeline activity, follow-up, conversion, revenue and profitability.
- Provide company leadership with accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates and relevant market intelligence.
Client & Industry Relationship Development
- Cultivate long-term relationships with corporate clients, meeting professionals, third-party planners, hotels, venues, hospitality organizations and other industry partners.
- Grow existing accounts by identifying additional programs, departments, destinations and service opportunities.
- Serve as a senior-level point of contact and trusted advisor for key clients, conducting discovery to understand objectives, priorities, budgets and program vision.
- Lead client presentations, site inspections, proposal reviews and strategic sales meetings.
- Strengthen Event Mechanics Co.’s position as a preferred DMC and event partner within the Dallas–Fort Worth hospitality community.
- Participate in hotel sales calls, client site visits, FAM opportunities, networking events, conferences, trade shows and other relevant industry functions.
- Develop strategic partnerships and referral relationships that create measurable sales opportunities and repeat business.
- Help lead, motivate, mentor and develop members of the sales and account management team.
- Establish a culture of proactive selling, accountability, responsiveness and relationship development.
- Assist team members with sales strategy, lead development, client presentations, negotiations and closing opportunities.
- Review active opportunities and help establish appropriate strategies and next steps to move business toward contract.
- Hold team members accountable for timely follow-up, complete CRM documentation and achievement of individual and company sales goals.
Proposal Development & Closing
- Lead the development of strategic proposals and presentations for prospective clients.
- Collaborate with creative, account management, production and operations teams to develop customized event solutions that align with client objectives.
- Ensure proposals are compelling, financially sound and structured to meet company revenue and profitability expectations.
- Confidently present solutions, manage objections, negotiate within established company parameters and move opportunities toward contract execution.
- Ensure successful handoff of contracted programs to appropriate internal team members while remaining engaged with key client relationships.
Program & Client Oversight
While this position is primarily focused onsales leadership, business development and account growth, the Senior Account Executive must have a strong understanding of event operations and remain engaged with key accounts throughout the program lifecycle.
Responsibilities may include:
- Working with clients and internal teams to develop programs following contract execution.
- Providing strategic oversight of budgets, timelines, floor plans, agendas and other program documentation.
- Participating in key client meetings, site inspections and onsite programs when appropriate.
- Conducting post-event follow-up, reviewing program profitability and identifying opportunities for repeat or expanded business.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

- Executive-level verbal and written communication.
- Proven ability to build relationships with clients, hotel partners, vendors and industry professionals.
- Strong understanding of corporate meetings, conferences, special events and destination services.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the Dallas–Fort Worth hospitality and event market strongly preferred.
- Strong financial acumen with an understanding of budgets, pricing, markups, margins and profitability.
- Ability to manage multiple high-value opportunities and accounts simultaneously.
- Strong organizational, prioritization and delegation skills.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a willingness to develop customized solutions rather than rely on standardized offerings.
- High level of professionalism, personal accountability and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Canva, proposal/presentation software, event diagramming tools and project management platforms preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires flexibility and includes a combination of office work, client meetings, hotel and venue visits, industry events and occasional onsite event responsibilities. Some evenings and weekends will be required, along with local DFW travel and occasional travel outside of Texas.
