Job summary

BioTalent is seeking an Account Director for Commercial Medical Communications in Oncology. You will lead day-to-day client relationships, oversee multi-program accounts, and ensure delivery on time, on budget, and to a high scientific standard.

You will mentor Account Managers, manage budgets and forecasting, and partner with brand teams to translate strategy into compelling, compliant communications for oncology launches and ongoing programs.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of client services experience in medical communications or healthcare agencies.
• Direct commercial or promotional experience.
• Oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of MLR review and pharma compliance.
• Experience managing complex, multi-program accounts and budgets.
• Experience leading and developing junior account team members.
• Polished communicator who builds credibility with senior clients.

Responsibilities

• Maintain primary client contacts for commercial oncology brand teams and foster trust.
• Plan and execute commercial programs including speaker bureaus and advisory boards.
• Collaborate with medical, creative, and project management teams to deliver high-quality work.
• Manage account budgets, forecasting, scopes of work, and financial reporting.
• Identify opportunities for organic growth and contribute to proposals.
• Guide materials through MLR and regulatory review processes.
• Mentor and develop Account Managers and Account Supervisors.
