Job summary

Avalere Health is seeking a Senior Account Director to join the Client Service team and lead Medical Affairs communications for oncology programs. You will manage client relationships, drive strategic conversations, and ensure delivery excellence across complex workstreams.

This role offers visibility, growth, and collaborative engagement across a large account team. You will report to the VP, Client Partnerships and shape strategy, growth, and high-quality programme delivery while mentoring

Qualifications

• Experience in a client services role at Account Director or Senior Account Director level within a healthcare communications agency.
• Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships and provide strategic counsel.
• Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic client relationships across oncology Medical Affairs workstreams.
• Act as a trusted advisor, providing strategic and commercial insight.
• Oversee delivery of programmes to quality, budget, and timelines.
• Support digital and creative HCP engagement initiatives.
• Drive account growth and develop proposals for existing clients.
• Collaborate with scientific, editorial, project management, and cross-functional teams.
• Forecast and discuss financial performance; manage risks and challenges.
• Mentor colleagues and promote a high-performing team environment.
• Contribute to pitches, proposals, and broader business development initiatives.
