Title: Senior Account Associate - Commercial Lines
Location: Remote (Central or Mountain Time Zones only) | Based out of California | Book Focus: General - Select Business
About the Role
Provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, Producer, and/or assigned group of accounts. Work under the general supervision of an Account Manager, Account Executive, or Producer. Ensure production and quality standards are met while safeguarding against errors and omissions. Independently resolve moderately complex customer service issues and manage small-sized or less complex accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Assist in directing daily activities and workflow of team support staff.
- Policy Management: Track policy expirations, ensure renewals are processed accurately and timely.
- Task Processing: Handle endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and related policy documents and requests.
- Business Support: Conduct client research, gather underwriting info, analyze loss runs, prepare submissions, evaluate coverages, negotiate pricing, prepare proposals, bind coverage, and follow up for policy issuance.
- Contract Review: Assist in reviewing contracts for proper coverage inclusion.
- Accounts Receivable: Monitor reports and take action on delinquent accounts.
- System Maintenance: Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
- Activity Monitoring: Ensure timely completion of activities and suspense items.
- Communication: Maintain transparent communication with the team regarding workload and issues.
- Service Excellence: Deliver excellent customer service, anticipate needs, and respond promptly.
- Policy Compliance & Improvement: Stay updated on policies and seek continuous improvement.
- Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership in line with IOA values.
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of customer service experience in insurance
- Strong knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs
- Active licensing; CISR designation preferred
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication, multitasking, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office
- High School Diploma or equivalent
