Job summary

The STAR Center at New York City College of Technology (CUNY) is accepting applications for an Onboarding Senior Advisor to join the team in downtown Brooklyn. This role supports onboarding, degree progress, and registration for diverse student populations.

Responsibilities include advising, referrals to support services, and supervising part-time staff. Proficiency with Schedule Builder, DegreeWorks, and FACTS is a plus for this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and four years' related experience.
• Experience advising college students or programs is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advisement to prospective and current students on registration and admissions.
• Refer students to Learning Center, Counseling, and other support services.
• Guide students through registration with Schedule Builder and DegreeWorks.
• Coordinate cross-department onboarding and collaborate to resolve enrollment issues.
• Engage with first-year students via meetings, calls, texts, and email.
• Maintain and audit the student database and degree progress reports.
