Job summary

The University of Louisville Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine seeks a full-time, doctoral-level Academic Clinical Chemist to lead clinical chemistry and related laboratory medicine services across a large academic health system.

Qualifications

• PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in a closely related field.
• Board certification or board eligibility by ABCC or equivalent credential.
• Demonstrated expertise in clinical chemistry and laboratory medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical consultation and scientific oversight for clinical chemistry and related laboratory services.

• Oversee assay validation, implementation, troubleshooting, and development of new diagnostic services.
• Educate medical students, residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals in didactic and clinical settings.
