Job summary

AeroGuard Flight Training Center in Georgetown, TX is seeking a licensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on flight school aircraft. The role requires strict adherence to company procedures and FAA regulations and involves a five-day work week.

You will read manuals, troubleshoot issues, document logbook entries, and release aircraft for service. Strong communication, teamwork, and the ability to work flexible shifts are essential; Piper and G1000

Qualifications

• Must have an Airframe & Powerplant license at hire and be able to obtain Inspection Authorization within three months.
• GA experience: minimum of three consecutive years as a certificated A&P.
• Experience on Piper aircraft is preferred.
• G1000 experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and team-building skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance of flight school aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and AeroGuard procedures.
• Read and understand maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, engineering drawings, service bulletins, and airworthiness directives.
• Make airworthiness decisions and release aircraft for return to service; document logbook entries.
• Coordinate with team and manage workflow; adjust priorities as needed.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas; work shifts as needed.
