A&P Mechanic III position in Hagerstown, MD on a contract basis with a defense client. You will perform aircraft maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on airframes and engines, following FAA and internal procedures.

The role requires hands-on experience, ability to read technical data, and working safely in a regulated environment. Expect overtime, varied shifts, and potential travel to support program needs.

Formación

• Active FAA A&P certification with no prior violations.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
• Ability to interpret technical schematics, diagrams, manuals, and publications.
• Ability to read/write English.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass Class 3 Physical including hearing test.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance, repairs, modifications, replacements, and inspections per data and procedures.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on airframes, engines, and systems.
• Inspect, test, remove, replace, repair defective parts.
• Conduct functional checks and tests after maintenance.
• Interpret schematics, diagrams, blueprints, and maintenance publications.
• Use hand tools, precision tools, test equipment, and specialized aircraft equipment.
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and company procedures.
• Maintain maintenance records and paperwork.
• Identify maintenance discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
• Support inspections and return-to-service activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe hangar/work environment.
• Follow safety procedures around aircraft and hazardous materials.
• Collaborate with other mechanics, inspectors, engineers, and program personnel.
• Support continuous improvement in maintenance, quality, safety, and efficiency.
• Travel and work different shifts/overtime as required.
