Job summary

BARNES AUTO SERVICE in Louisville, KY is seeking an experienced automotive technician for a high-volume shop with a Monday-Friday schedule.

Diagnose drivability issues, perform testing, and complete repairs using Tekmetric and diagnostic tools in a heated and air-conditioned facility with 26 bays and 13 lifts. Weekly pay, production bonuses, medical/dental/vision, PTO, and holidays offered.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automotive repair experience preferred.
• Advanced diagnostic and drivability skills.
• Experience testing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicle concerns.
• Ability to work across domestic, Asian, European, and fleet vehicles.
• Comfortable using diagnostic equipment and scan tools.
• Digital vehicle inspection experience helpful but not required.
• ASE certifications are not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicle concerns with a strong focus on drivability and automotive diagnostics.
• Perform testing to accurately identify mechanical and vehicle-performance issues.
• Complete automotive repairs based on confirmed diagnostic findings.
• Use diagnostic equipment and scan tools to support accurate troubleshooting.
• Perform and document digital vehicle inspections using Tekmetric.
• Work efficiently within a high-volume automotive repair environment.
• Maintain accurate repair information and communicate findings through the shop's workflow.
