Tundra Technical Solutions is seeking a Numerical Control Programmer 3 for a contract assignment in Auburn, WA. The role focuses on NC programming for 5-axis machines and developing setup documentation for complex aerospace parts.

The contractor will collaborate with planning, engineering, tooling, and shop-floor personnel to optimize processes, reduce cycle times, and ensure producibility. Pay ranges from $55 to $60 per hour, USD, with on-site work.

Qualifications

• 5+ years NC programming experience for production machining.
• Experience programming 5-axis CNC machines for aerospace parts.
• Proficiency reading engineering drawings, GD&T and manufacturing docs.
• Proficient in CATIA V5 NC programming and NC simulation tools.
• Ability to create clear setup documentation and operator instructions.

Responsibilities

• Create, verify, and revise MCD, tooling geometry, and setup docs for multi-axis CNC machines.
• Develop robust NC programs for aluminum and hard-metal parts from drawings.
• Develop multiple setups and operations ensuring fixturing and tooling support producibility.
• Produce setup sheets and operator instructions for safe machine operation.
• Use Vericut or similar tools to validate programs and avoid collisions.
