Actalent in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a CNC Programmer with 5–10 years of experience in Mastercam for 5-axis milling. The role requires setup of mills and lathes, precise metrology, and collaboration with engineers to interpret blueprints.

This is a full-time, on-site position in Hawthorne with a comprehensive benefits package. Ideal candidates will have strong Fanuc programming skills, CATIA/SolidWorks CAD familiarity, and a proven track record in high-precision manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of CNC programming experience, Mastercam.
• Experience with palletized 5-axis mills is highly desirable.
• Strong shop-floor leadership abilities.
• Proficiency in Fanuc programming language.
• Solid understanding of geometry and blueprint reading.
• Experience with CAD/CAM tools such as CATIA/SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM software.
• Set up and operate milling machines and lathes for precision parts.
• Use micrometers and calipers to inspect finished work.
• Collaborate with engineers to interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Conduct tooling changes and adjustments as needed.
• Troubleshoot programming or machine errors to keep operations smooth.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure peak performance.
