Job summary

Columbus Technologies and Services seeks an experienced machinist/NC programmer for a 25-month contract at NASA JPL, Pasadena, onsite. The role involves fabricating high-precision parts using 5-axis CNC milling and NC machining centers, with background checks and training provided.

The candidate will apply Mastercam CAD/CAM, Vericut simulations, and GD&T to ensure strict tolerances, working closely with engineers to resolve fabrication challenges and deliver flight hardware components.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better with related experience or relevant technical training.
• 5-axis CNC milling experience and ability to program/fabricate precision components.
• Mastercam CAD/CAM programming experience (minimum 5 years).
• Vericut simulations for collision detection and verification.

Responsibilities

• Check blueprints and tolerances to determine setup and operations.
• Measure, mark, and inspect dimensions on materials.
• Set up and operate NC machines and machining centers.
• Verify conformance with specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Collaborate with engineers to resolve machining or assembly issues.
