Job summary

DisplayIt is seeking a Senior 3D Technical Drafter with strong Microvellum expertise to produce fabrication-ready shop drawings and detailed documentation for cabinetry and millwork projects.

You will translate architectural plans and client requirements into production-ready data, coordinate across engineering and manufacturing, and ensure accuracy for CNC readiness. Experience with Microvellum and related CAD tools is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of professional drafting and detailing experience in millwork or cabinetry.
• Professional Microvellum experience is required.
• Strong knowledge of Microvellum workflows, materials, hardware, and manufacturing outputs.
• Experience with Microvellum Toolbox is strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial cabinetry, architectural millwork, and fabrication methods.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, elevations, sections, and specs.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, tolerances, and CNC considerations.
• Experience designing or programming for CNC routers or laser cutting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed fabrication-ready shop drawings: plans, elevations, sections, details, and assembly docs.
• Use Microvellum to develop and prepare cabinetry and millwork for manufacturing.
• Maintain accurate Microvellum project data, materials, and machining requirements.
• Translate architectural drawings and client requirements into coordinated technical drawings.
• Develop 3D models and documentation identifying dimensions, materials, hardware, and installation needs.
• Prepare drawings for cabinetry, millwork, fixtures, and custom-fabricated products.
• Review designs for manufacturability and resolve conflicts or missing info before release.
• Coordinate with Engineering, PM, Manufacturing, and vendors to ensure completeness.
• Support CNC-driven processes by providing machining information and data.
• Verify finish codes, hardware, tolerances, and assembly details before release.
• Maintain project files, revisions, and approvals with rigorous documentation.
• Manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
