Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior 3D Geospatial & Civil Design Specialist to advance digital delivery across large-scale projects. You will bridge geospatial intelligence, master planning, and Civil 3D workflows, coordinating with planners, engineers, surveyors, and BIM/VDC teams to set up scalable environments from due diligence through detailed design.

The role emphasizes strong Autodesk tool expertise, geospatial data management, and the creation of repeatable, automated workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/geospatial field or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of experience supporting civil design, geospatial modeling, or digital delivery initiatives.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D, Autodesk Forma, ArcGIS, and related tools.
• Strong collaboration across multidisciplinary project teams.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain Civil 3D project environments, templates, standards, and data structures for multidisciplinary project teams.
• Configure and manage Civil 3D models, surfaces, alignments, corridors, grading, utilities, and site development workflows.
• Develop and maintain data-referenced Civil 3D environments that support collaboration across design disciplines.
• Manage coordinate systems, survey information, and model integration between Civil 3D, Revit, Navisworks, and related Autodesk platforms.
• Support project teams through schematic design, design development, and construction phases.
• Develop 3D geospatial models for site evaluation, due diligence, and master planning.
• Integrate GIS, survey, utility, environmental, zoning, transportation, and infrastructure datasets into workflows.
• Leverage Autodesk Forma, ArcGIS, CityEngine for scenario planning and site analysis.
• Create visualizations and analytical models to inform client decisions in early phases.
• Identify opportunities to automate data collection, validation, and reporting processes.
• Serve as SME for geospatial and civil digital delivery workflows.
• Support GIS-BIM-CAD interoperability and workflow documentation.
• Evaluate new Autodesk/geospatial tech and propose efficiency improvements.
• Provide mentoring and training to engineering teams.
