Job summary

GMM Pfaudler US Inc. is seeking a Sr. 3D CAD Designer to join the Systems Group in Rochester, NY.

The role focuses on modeling complete modular process systems using 3D CAD, producing fabrication drawings and BOMs for construction, and collaborating with engineers and vendors to optimize designs. The ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, strong AutoCAD Plant 3D skills, and proficiency with MS Word and Excel for specifications and procurement.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in CAD design.
• Proficient in 3D modeling with AutoCAD Plant 3D.
• Ability to create 2D P&IDs and PFDs from project data.
• Familiarity with piping design, steel layout and BOMs.
• Proficient with MS Word and Excel for specifications and BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Model process systems in 3D, including structural steel, equipment, piping and instruments.
• Create 2D fabrication drawings and isometric piping drawings for shops.
• Export bills of materials to Excel for procurement and fabrication.
• Work with PE and vendors to model components and resolve issues.
• Produce as-built models and drawings after fabrication.
