Job summary

GMM Pfaudler US Inc. in Rochester, NY seeks a Project/Process Engineer II (BSChE) to design chemical process systems and lead project engineering.

You will develop process designs, specify equipment, and work with CAD to create layouts, while coordinating with suppliers and customers to meet schedule and performance goals. The position requires a BS in Chemical Engineering and at least 3 years of experience in chemical process design, PFDs and P&IDs, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience with chemical process system design.
• Experience in equipment sizing and process instrumentation.
• Ability to read PFDs, P&IDs and process specifications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop chemical process system design and equipment selections.
• Prepare PFDs, MEBs and P&IDs with CAD support.
• Define/size equipment, instrumentation and piping for the process.
• Collaborate with CAD Designers to develop project drawings and layouts.
• Travel to client sites for startup/commissioning support.
