Job summary

Zoic Studios in Vancouver, BC seeks a 2D Senior Compositor with strong Nuke experience for episodic streaming projects. The role requires collaboration within a tight crew and delivering high-quality CG integration.

Work is remote with optional studio presence; candidates must reside in British Columbia and be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, taking direction from VFX and Compositing Supervisors.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Nuke
• Knowledge of 2.5D projection
• Matte painting integration
• CG integration and Nuke 3D workflow
• EXR integration
• 3D multi-pass rendering techniques and color space concepts
• Maya, Houdini and/or Unreal knowledge
• Excellent eye for color and composition
• Ability to take artistic direction and work to deadlines
• Strong collaboration with supervisors and other artists

Responsibilities

• Integrate multiple layers/elements into live action shots
• 2D tracking, matte extraction, 2.5D projection, layering of elements, Nuke 3D workflow and color grading on moderately difficult shots
• Maintain overall look, quality and color balance for all shots
• Maintain clean and efficient script organization
• Work within the pipeline of the show/company
• Collaborate with supervisors and other artists
• Attend dailies and meetings as required
