Halcyon Recruitment is seeking an experienced 2-Stroke Engine Design Engineer for a permanent project in the Middle East. The role requires leading production design for mechanical components, troubleshooting production and in-service issues, and managing complex design challenges.

The candidate will oversee design documentation, support acceptance testing, and provide advanced guidance post-commissioning, with emphasis on licensor standards, performance, and quality.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering.
• At least 7 years of experience in 2-stroke marine engine design.
• Experience in production design, troubleshooting, and supplier interface.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation of production design for mechanical components.
• Oversee design documentation and resolve production issues.
• Support acceptance testing and provide post-commissioning guidance.
• Contribute to process optimisation and supplier interface.
