Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the United States seeks an Associate in Equity Research covering the Semiconductors sector. You will become an industry expert, conduct earnings and regulatory analysis, model financials, and write notes for internal and external clients.

You will work with Sales and Trading, build relationships, fulfill client requests, and contribute to differentiated research. Qualifications include Series 86/87 licenses, 2–3 years in equity research or IB, and advanced Excel; CFA

Qualifications

• Two to three years of equity research and/or investment banking experience.
• Strong accounting, finance, quantitative and business communication skills, plus modelling, forecasting, and valuation experience.
• Advanced Excel proficiency is required.
• FINRA licenses Series 86 and 87.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Interest in the Semiconductors sector; CFA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Excel-based models to forecast company financials and project industry dynamics.
• Perform detailed valuation work to support stock recommendations.
• Analyze complex data sets, news releases, filings, and events to shape industry/views on coverage.
• Write research notes and sector reports and prepare presentations.
• Build relationships and communicate with clients, industry experts, and management teams.
• Fulfill client requests in a timely and thorough manner.
• Generate ideas for differentiated research products.
