Job summary

SkyWater Technology is seeking a seasoned Semiconductor Yield Staff Engineer to lead the integration of new technologies into the fabrication environment and drive yield and quality improvements across production ramps.

You will design experiments, analyze yield data, and develop predictive models while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with process, device, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful technology transfer.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• BS with 5 years, MS with 3 years, or PhD with 0-3 years in semiconductor yield engineering and technology integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of new semiconductor technologies into the fab and production ramp.
• Collaborate with process, device, and manufacturing teams to enable technology transfer.
• Design experiments to characterize new processes and identify yield-limiting factors.
• Analyze yield data and perform root cause analysis to drive improvements.
• Develop yield models to predict and optimize performance for new tech nodes.
• Manage yield improvement projects with clear objectives and milestones.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians in yield analysis techniques.
• Stay current with industry trends and evaluate new tools for potential adoption.
• Coordinate with suppliers and partners to assess new equipment for potential adoption in the fab.
