Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Semiconductor Trainer - Course Developer based in San Jose to develop and deliver training on industrial photolithography equipment.

You will prepare lesson plans, partner with customers and internal teams, and maintain training facilities to ensure equipment availability for training and demonstrations. This role combines technical expertise with course development and training skills, with emphasis on creating technical materials and delivering effective

Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience and 3-5 years of related work experience.
  • Semiconductor equipment knowledge preferred; photolithography equipment knowledge helpful.
  • Prior experience as a technical trainer preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct user training on Photolithography products both in-house and at customer sites.
  • Provide classroom and laboratory training for internal and external customer training courses including operation, preventive maintenance, application and installation aspects of Canon photolithography equipment.
  • Develop new internal and external technical materials.
  • Revise existing internal and external technical materials to ensure they are current and accurate.
  • Verify accuracy of technical procedures to support field service technicians and customer needs.
  • Provide detailed presentations on technical topics.
  • Responsible for operation and maintenance of training facilities and equipment and preparation of the instructional site in the San Jose facility.
  • Participate in discussion groups to share technical information and improve knowledge of less experienced colleagues.
  • Contact customers to discuss training needs and acquire feedback on current training programs and systems.

About the Role

Do you have training experience on semiconductor processes/equipment?

Based in our San Jose office, you will develop and deliver training on industrial products (photolithography equipment). Not only will you prepare lesson plans, but also partner with customers and internal members to implement training as well as maintain equipment in the cleanrooms and training facilities to ensure equipment availability for training and demonstrations.

Your Impact

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring
  • Requires a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent experience and 3-5 years of related work experience
  • Semiconductor equipment, maintenance knowledge preferred, photolithography equipment knowledge helpful
  • Prior experience as a technical trainer preferred
  • May require up to 50% travel within the US (valid driver's license and acceptable driving record necessary). Additionally, because this position requires driving for company business as an essential function of the job, must remain in compliance with company safety guidelines and policies
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Physical Demands & Work Environment

The worker is required to have close visual acuity with or without corrective lenses for extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication parts at distances close to the eyes.

Working in office environment and also in cleanroom environment (wearing full clean room suit, facemask, gloves, safety glasses)

* In accordance with applicable law, we are providing the anticipated base salary for this role $70,310- $103,770
